Plastics may leach chemicals into products - many of which are known to be hormone disrupting. The world (including our oceans) is littered with plastics, having long term consequences for generations to come. We can do better - so we choose to. Are plastic containers a lot cheaper? Yes! Most companies (including those claiming to be "natural and organic") still package all of their products in plastic. At Rumina Naturals, we feel the risk of exposing a breastfeeding mother or a baby to these chemicals is simply too great - our bottom line is less important than your health
